Identity verification
Dripbase does not verify customer identity today. This article describes what is planned, not something you can do yet.
What's decided
As of August 2026, Dripbase has decided that customers will verify their identity through a third-party vendor — either Plaid or Persona, whichever turns out cheaper to run — and that the same vendor will handle identity verification for detailers. That decision has not been built. There is no verification step in the signup or booking flow, no document upload, and nothing on your account today that records an identity check.
What isn't decided
Whether identity verification will be optional or required before you can book a detail hasn't been decided. Neither has a timeline for building it.
What Dripbase already checks
Identity verification is a separate thing from detailer vetting, which already exists. Before a detailer can take jobs, Dripbase verifies a background check, a driver's license, insurance, and other requirements set by the platform. That's about the person coming to your house, not about confirming who you are as the customer. See the detailer vetting article for what's actually checked there.
Written against how Dripbase works today. Rules like pricing, timing, and what we require of a detailer are settings we can change, so this describes the current behaviour rather than a permanent guarantee.
