How to book a detail

Vehicle and package

Pick the vehicle you're booking for from your saved vehicles, or add a new one. Every vehicle is filed under a size bucket — 2-seater, sedan, SUV/van, or truck — and that size sets the price: some packages carry a size surcharge and add time for a bigger vehicle. Pick your package after the vehicle, since the price on screen already reflects your vehicle's size.

Add-ons are optional and priced separately. There's a limit on how many you can add to one job — Dripbase currently allows up to 10 — because past that a request looks more like someone testing the pricing tool than someone booking a job.

The total shown is never something the app calculated for you locally. It's a live quote from Dripbase's pricing, and it has to load successfully before the Book it button turns on.

Where

Choose a saved address or add a new one. If you have access notes worth passing along — a gate code, no outdoor water, where to park — add them to the address; a detailer reads that before they knock.

When

Pick a start time. Two limits apply automatically and the app enforces both:

• You can't book too soon. Dripbase currently requires at least 30 minutes' notice — enough time for a detailer to load up and drive out.
• You can't book too far out. The current window is 90 days ahead.

Both numbers are platform settings and can change, so treat "at least 30 minutes, up to about three months out" as the shape of the rule rather than a permanent guarantee.

You can't double-book the same vehicle — if the time you pick overlaps another job already on that vehicle's calendar, booking is blocked.

What happens after you book

Booking authorizes a hold on your card for the full quoted total. Nothing is captured yet. Your job is then offered to nearby vetted detailers — not assigned to a specific one automatically. Dripbase sends the job to a small group of eligible detailers at a time and gives each round a window to respond before moving to the next group if nobody takes it. How long that takes depends on how many detailers are available near you and isn't something we can promise a number on — some jobs get taken within the first round, others take longer.

If nobody accepts before your appointment window closes, the job is cancelled automatically, the hold on your card is released, and you're not charged anything. You'll see that reflected in Your jobs.

Once a detailer accepts, you'll see who they are before the job starts. Your card is only actually charged once the work is done and the required before/after photos are in — never before.
