What to do if something feels wrong
If it's an emergency, call 911 first
Before you open the app, before you look for a button, before you read the rest of this article: if you are in danger, or you think someone else is, call 911 or your local emergency number. That is true no matter what Dripbase does or doesn't have built. Nothing here should slow that down.
Once you and anyone else involved are safe, come back to this if you want to know what Dripbase can do.
Before a detail
Every detailer on Dripbase is checked before they can take a job: a background check, a valid driver's license, and their own auto and general liability insurance are all verified in advance, not taken on their word.
Your street address and any access notes you've saved — gate codes, where the water spigot is, whether the driveway is covered — are not shown to anyone while your job is still being offered around. They're disclosed only once a specific detailer accepts the job, and only to that person. If you cancel the booking, that access is taken back immediately, in the same instant the job is marked cancelled — not sometime after.
So if you get a bad feeling about who's assigned, or your plans change and you no longer want someone coming, cancelling is the right move. It's allowed any time before work actually starts, your card is never charged for it, and it removes that detailer's access to your address right away.
During a detail
If someone in your home makes you uncomfortable or something happens that feels unsafe, trust that feeling. Ask them to stop or to leave, and call emergency services if you need to. We have to be honest here: there is currently no in-app panic button, live chat, or safety hotline built into Dripbase. If you need help in the moment, it comes from the same place it always would — 911, or someone you trust nearby.
After a detail
If something felt off but wasn't an emergency — a concern about how someone behaved, not just the quality of the work — see Reporting issues. We'll say it plainly there too: Dripbase doesn't yet have a self-serve way to flag a job as a problem inside the app. Cancelling before work starts is the one thing you can do yourself today; anything after that currently needs a person, and we don't yet have a published way to reach one specifically about a safety concern.
The honest summary
Vetting happens before anyone is dispatched, and address disclosure is narrow and revocable. Those are real and enforced in code. What doesn't exist yet is in-the-moment, in-app support for a safety concern. If that gap matters to you, it matters to us too — it's listed below as something that needs to be fixed, not something we're pretending isn't there.
Written against how Dripbase works today. Rules like pricing, timing, and what we require of a detailer are settings we can change, so this describes the current behaviour rather than a permanent guarantee.
